An Ohio rescue organization that provides dog food and supplies to shelters around the country was devastated when more than $20,000 in dog food and supplies were stolen from their warehouse.

All Dogs Come From Heaven Rescue‘s Outreach program, which provides food and supplies to homeless pet owners and underfunded and needy county pounds throughout Ohio and Kentucky, had collected over $20,000 in supplies including pet food, collars and leashes, flea and tick medication, beds, crates, and more in advance of heavy storms that will, without a doubt, impact nearby shelters and rescues.
But, just days before heavy rains are expected to fall and flood the area, the shelter suffered a devastating blow.
Two burglaries in as many weeks left the program heartbroken and, for the first time in 5 years, unable to help.
“When we came into the building, every unopened bag of food had been taken,”Owner Margaret Coplen told WPTV. “Every dog bed, every crate, every bit of flea and tick medication, leashes, collars — everything that was in new or retail condition.”
Still hoping to help shelters and rescues in need in the coming days and weeks, All Dogs Come From Heaven posted a desperate plea to Facebook:
The rescue believes they know who the thieves are and are giving them a short time to return the stolen donations, no questions asked. But that opportunity will not last forever.
In the meantime, the rescue is installing security cameras at their warehouse in hopes of preventing future thefts.
Their biggest concern, however, is providing assistance to needy shelters and rescues impacted by the oncoming storms and inevitable flooding. Anyone wishing to donate to their cause can send supplies through Chewy or Amazon to the Adoption Center located at 1894 Ohio Pike, Amelia, OH 45102.
And, anyone with information about the theft or the persons responsible should contact the rescue.

Volete vedere i gatti come mai i avete visti finora?

Hard to believe just 13 weeks ago she birthed those kittens, isn’t it?

Pa thinks Willie’s tail is either a toy or a snack. Willie’s waiting to see what the decision is.

Charles looks like he’s having nefarious thoughts, doesn’t he?

Laura loves to dangle her front legs.

“What’s going on here? Did I miss nap time?!”

Oh, that girl. She is just so darn pretty.

Willie and Albert turned that basket over in about 10 seconds flat.

I opened the box the Kitty Cardboard box (over there to the right) came in, and naturally they thought the flat box was the best thing ever.

Albert and Willie, all “You again?”

One of the reasons* I’m so excited about getting this big room as the foster room is because it actually gets sun in the morning. The other room rarely sees sun due to the big tree in front of the window.
*Other reasons: It’s much bigger, and a couch can fit in there. Yay!

“Seriously, lady? Trying to sleep here!”

Oh, that Frankie. He is such a sweet boy.
If you’re curious, Frankie continues to do very well. (Newer readers: Frankie is FIV positive and has stomatitis, which required surgery two years ago to remove the majority of his teeth. He’s on a twice-weekly dose of Atopica, and while he doesn’t love being medicated, he tolerates it very well. Of note: our big floofy black kitty Khal is also FIV positive, but has had no health issues so far.)
